Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist in the evaluation of patients' medical conditions. The Ultrasonographer will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care while ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients undergoing ultrasound procedures.
Duties
- Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations including abdominal, pelvic, and obstetric imaging.
- Utilize ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to ultrasound procedures.
- Ensure proper patient care by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and providing support throughout the examination process.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and safety protocols during all procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians to discuss findings and assist in developing patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate records of examinations performed and ensure proper documentation of patient information.
- Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques.
Requirements
- Certification as an Ultrasonographer from an accredited program is required.
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques, including knowledge of diagnostic radiology.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care practices.
- Experience in an emergency room (ER) setting is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in healthcare.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $67.00 - $73.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
