Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays and other medical imaging techniques, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and the principles of diagnostic radiology. The X-ray Technician will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care in a Level I Trauma Center environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform X-ray examinations on patients as per physician orders, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Operate imaging equipment effectively while maintaining a sterile environment.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
- Collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnostic evaluations.
- Maintain patient records and imaging documentation in compliance with medical standards.
- Assist in the operation of additional imaging modalities such as PET scans, nuclear medicine, and sonography when required.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and report any malfunctions or issues promptly.
- Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques.
Qualifications
- Certification as an X-ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist from an accredited program.
- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques including diagnostic radiology, PET scans, and nuclear medicine is preferred.
- Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology to accurately perform imaging procedures.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to diagnostic evaluations.
- Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $61.00 - $68.00 per hour
