Security Officer

EKG Security, Inc. is looking for highly competent Security Officers to join our teams to monitor and protect our clients’ properties and assets. As a Security Officer with EKG, you will be responsible for providing the best customer service. The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation. The goal is to help the company in maintaining excellent working conditions by keeping our clients safe and problem-free.

Position Type: Security Officer

Tentative Start Date: ASAP

Shift Type: ALL

Pay rate: $15/hr.

Objectives of this Role:

• Ensure a safe environment through a team effort of diligent active patrol, strict access control, monitoring, and equipment control
• Be visible and observant at all times, greeting staff, guests, and vendors in a courteous and attentive manner
• Respond immediately to distress calls, panic alarms, and emergency calls for disorderly conduct, disruptive persons, and incidents swiftly and appropriately
• Maintain the company’s reputation with professionalism and legal compliance
• Collaborate with other security officers for effective protection and coverage

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Be at least 18 years of age (21 yrs. Old in some sites)
• Have a valid Driver’s License (required if driving a company vehicle)
• Must have clean criminal background/ and pass drug test
• Pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
• Complete site-specific training before serving as a qualified security officer

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Attention to detail is a plus
• 1-year unarmed security experience preferred, but not required
• Able to assess and evaluate situations effectively
• Must be able to stand/sit for long periods of time as well as ability to ascend and descend stairs with loads up to 50 lbs
• Proficiency with computers, and aptitude to learn new software and systems
• Able to answer phones and/or operate a 2-way radio
• Impeccable character/integrity
• Law enforcement or military experience
