Eklego is proud to be leading the Director of Finance search for St. Luke Family of Caring in Oswego, NY! We're seeking a finance/accounting professional to lead a dedicated team for this mission-based, nonprofit senior living community.

What will I do as the Director of Finance? This role will supervise the Business Office and is the
chief financial spokesperson for the organization. Responsible for the overall administration of
internal accounting and financial matters for four separate corporations.
- Assist Administrator and team with all strategic and tactical matters as they related to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs and the securing of new funding.
- Ensures maintenance of effective internal controls to assure safeguarding of assets and reliability of financial statements.
- Prepares monthly financial statements and ensures their accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepares annual cost reports for governmental agencies.
- Assists in resolving accounting and financial problems and/or issues.
- Ensures complete and up-to-date operating procedures for all accounting and financial controls.
- Works with Department Heads in the preparation of annual budgets and cash flow projections.
- Works with the Finance Committee of the Board as needed.
- Ensures proper preparation for the annual financial audit.
- Oversee all purchasing and payroll activity.
- Monitor banking activities of the organization
- Reviews all receipts and disbursements, ascertains correct account distribution and ensures that all supporting documentation is accurate, complete and in order.
- Knowledge of general office software, particularly Microsoft Office Suite and SOS Software (or other similar health care general ledger software) and use of databases.
Qualifications:
- Thorough understanding of nonprofit accounting and financial management information requirements.
- Thorough understanding of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement is a plus.
- Formal education in accounting required.
- CPA or demonstrated equivalent in education and experience.
- Previous experience at the Controller or Chief Financial Officer level.
- Five to seven years of financial and management experience in the day-to-day financial operations of an organization.
