What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Learning and Development position at Eklego?
Eklego is excited to be partnering with Three Pillars Senior Living Communities in their search for a dedicated and compassionate Director of Learning and Development professional in Dousman, WI.
The Director of Learning and Development is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and monitoring Three Pillars training programs. Will identify training needs, evaluate performance, and oversee the training budget. This person will work with leadership to determine development needs, objectives, and provide guidance to trainers and instructors.
The DLD will build a learning and development platform to help Three Pillars team members both professionally and personally. DLD is responsible for the oversight of Three Pillars University.
What will I do in this role?
- Develop with department heads to maintain assessments training programs
- Develop and maintain processes to make continuing education programs available to all campus staff.
- Develop and deploy training assessment tools to identify training and delivery needs for campus staff, including the leadership team.
- Identify and communicate learning opportunities whether on site, online, or externally.
- As directed, implements/assists with training on workplace safety programs in the facility.
- Identifies essential competencies in collaboration with campus wide leaders for licensed and non-licensed staff. Collaborates with campus wide leadership team to develop annual skills/education fair
- Work with Vice President of People to develop and implement leadership and supervisory training programs.
- Train instructors and supervisors in techniques and skills for training.
- Review, monitor and evaluate training and apprenticeship programs for compliance with government standards.
- Responsible for creation and oversight of departmental mentor and coaching programs.
- Establish Learning and Development (LD) objectives and specific strategies and tasks to achieve them.
- Communication with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources.
- Plan and execute Three Pillars' overall strategic objectives related to learning and development.
- Knowledge of key performance indicators (KPI) relevant to LD functions
- Work with leadership to establish a culture of continuous learning.
- Develop and deploy training program catalog for campus staff including leadership team. Plans develop and provide training and staff development programs using effective methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training meetings and conferences.
- Coordinate established courses with technical and professional courses provided by community school and designed training programs.
What is required in this position?
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university related to Learning and Development, Human Resources, or Talent Development.
- Four (4) years of full-time equivalent experience in facilitating employee training, including planning and developing programs.
- DISC, Myers Briggs, or other related certifications a plus.
