The General Helper is responsible for assisting in various tasks related to production, assembly, packing, and shipping operations within a light manufacturing environment. This position involves working in a fast-paced setting where attention to detail, teamwork, and efficient handling of materials are crucial. The General Helper will engage in strapping, loading, and packing tasks, contributing to the overall workflow and ensuring timely and accurate product handling.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Assist in strapping, loading, and packing of products to prepare them for shipment.
- Perform light manufacturing tasks including assembling products according to specifications.
- Operate basic tools and machinery to support production activities.
- Inspect products for quality and ensure that all packed items meet company standards.
- Support the warehouse team in maintaining an organized and clean work environment.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during production and shipping processes.
- Handle materials and products with care to avoid damage.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quotas.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift, load, and move materials as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Familiarity with strapping, packing, and assembly procedures.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
Compensation: $18.50 per hour
