Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Assistant/Associate/Director of Athletic Compliance is responsible for ensuring the University's athletic program adheres to NCAA and conference rules, verifying student-athlete eligibility, interpreting and applying NCAA and conference rules, and investigating potential violations.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree is required
Experience: One year of experience in athletics administration at the Division I level is preferred, especially NCAA Division I compliance experience
Licensure & Certifications:
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree or other graduate degree is preferred, including a Juris Doctor. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations. Experience with NCAA Compliance Assistant, LSDBi, Eligibility Center and JumpForward is preferred. Knowledge of ASUN rules and regulations is preferred.
Job Duties:
- 40% - Monitors NCAA, ASUN, EKU and NIL rules and regulations, and interprets, communicates and applies rules and regulations - (Essential)
- 35% - Serves as athletics compliance liaison to registrar, housing, tickets, and TeamWorks to ensure student-athlete eligibility - (Essential)
- 20% - Maintains athletics compliance databases including NCAA Compliance Assistant, NCAA Eligibility Center, and Arms Software. - (Essential)
- 5% - Other duties as assigned by the University Counsel, Director of Athletics and/or Associate Athletics Director for Compliance and Student Success. - (Essential)
