Job Title: Supervisor Core Laboratory & QA
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Supervisor of our Core Laboratory and Quality Assurance programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the daily operations of the Core Laboratory, developing and maintaining quality assurance and safety programs, and providing oversight to ensure a safe environment of care.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the Laboratory's Quality Assurance and Safety programs
- Provide technical and scientific oversight of the Core Laboratory
- Investigate, review, and report trends for unanticipated incidents
- Represent the Laboratory on performance improvement and safety committees
- Train and educate laboratory employees on QA and Safety programs
- Supervise and evaluate laboratory personnel
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science or equivalent
- Prior experience in Lab QA and Safety required
- Four years of combined experience as a CLS in an acute care hospital setting with clinical laboratory safety and quality assurance
- Supervisory or Lead experience in a hospital laboratory preferred
Working Conditions:
This position requires occasional lifting up to 20 pounds and standard movement. The work schedule is bi-weekly, and the successful candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule when needed.
