Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Field Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of properties to ensure compliance with regulations and standards. This role requires a strong understanding of property maintenance, real estate practices, and excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and stakeholders. This role is responsible for scheduling and conducting interior inspections of our rental properties to ensure they meet habitability standards.
Duties
- Schedule interior inspections with residents.
- Travel to various rental properties using personal, reliable transportation.
- Conduct thorough interior inspections using a provided checklist.
- Document property conditions and identify any potential habitability concerns.
- Take clear and detailed photos for documentation.
- Report inspection findings to the property management team in a timely manner.
- Evaluate property conditions and identify any maintenance or compliance issues.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and communicate findings to relevant parties.
- Maintain accurate records and files related to inspections and property assessments.
- Post notices for delinquent tenants and/or lease violations.
- Making recommendations for any potential service, housekeeping/custodial, or in conjunction with the manager
- Ensure the company is represented in a professional manner while at property sites and in the office.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance walk-throughs of each of our buildings, fixing any minor issues, documenting what was repaired, and noting anything that may need further attention/repairs
- Collaborate with legal administrative staff to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Utilize Zinspector and Appfolio software for property management tasks as needed (no prior experience required).
Experience
- Valid California Driver’s License and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement may be provided).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow a structured checklist.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills when interacting with residents.
- Ability to use a smartphone or tablet for documentation and reporting.
- Experience in property management, maintenance, or real estate is a plus but not required.

Pay: $26.95 - $30.23 per hour
