What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Therapist School Based Health Center in Las Vegas position at El Centro Family Health?
Purpose:
This licensed counselor position requires a post-master's degree level of education. The primary role is to provide brief and intensive therapy to individuals, children, adolescents, families, and/or groups to improve or restore their skills and abilities for successful management of their lives and positive interaction with their families and community.
Education: A master's degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or other related human service field from an approved and accredited school.
License: Current licensure in the State of New Mexico at the master's level, such as Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
Experience: Completion of internships during or following attainment of the master's degree with appropriate supervision.
Certification: CPR certification
Preferred Requirements:
License: LCSW or LPCC licensure
Experience: Experience in treating substance abuse.
Experience: Group work and family/couples counseling experience.
Ability to Work with Children: Ability to work with children of all ages and their families.
Bilingual Skills: English / Spanish proficiency including fluency in Spanish.
