Job Description
We are seeking a full-time Clinical Competency Coordinator/RMA preferred to serve the needs of our community.
Responsibilities
The Clinical Competency Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Overseeing clinical competencies throughout the nursing department with new and existing employees.
- Playing a vital role in the orientation process for Medical Assistants during their 90-day introductory period.
- Planning and organizing training to maintain and implement new clinical skills and competencies within the organization.
- Familiarizing themselves with medical terminology, instruments, and patient interaction.
- Providing patient care and other related clinical, laboratory, technical, and support to physicians, mid-level practitioners, and licensed nurses.
The Clinical Competency Coordinator will also act as a member of the Nurse Management Team to assist in overall clinical operations, acknowledge, adhere to, and implement organizational and medical policies and procedures.
This position requires strong interpersonal communication skills, attention to detail, willingness to travel, excellent communication skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
The ideal candidate should possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent, minimum one year of experience in the healthcare field, preferably in a clinical setting, and CPR or BLS certification.
Preferred Requirements:
- Minimum one year of experience in a supervisory role in a clinical or hospital setting.
- Registered Medical Assistant Certification (must be obtained within 15 months of hire).
