What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Wellness - Peer Navigator (Re-entry) position at El Concilio?
El Concilio California is currently in search of a passionate individual to fill the position of a Behavioral Wellness Peer Navigator. The Peer Navigator will become familiar with internal AB109 re-entry services and work alongside Mental Health Clinicians and Rehabilitation Specialist in order to help community members with the recovery process. The Peer Navigator will use a Peer Recovery Relationship-Based Care Model to support individuals who have difficulty with engagement and sustaining participation in mental health treatment. Other duties will include providing education on mental health and community resources that will guide community members towards success in their recovery plan. The Peer Navigator shall encompass a community-based system of care based on creating resiliency, positive development informed by neuroscience, and traumatic stress to understand how to truly promote healthy growth and optimal outcomes for participants. The Peer Navigator will maintain frequent, low-demand contact with clients to provide encouragement and support in attending behavioral health appointments and participating in all aspects of the individual's recovery plan.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8am-5pm

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related field with 1-3 years of experience in a similar capacity is highly preferred; An Associate's Degree in Psychology or related field with 2-4 years of experience working in a related position is required. A High School Diploma with 3-5 years working directly in the mental health field.
