What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Service Worker position at El Concilio?
El Concilio California is accepting applications for our open Family Service Worker, also referred to as FSW. The Family Service Worker will be under the supervision of the Family Community Program Coordinator. The FSW is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing a community outreach program that includes community/business/school partnerships and mentoring opportunities that link our community to our students and parents.FSWs work to ensure that families and children are meeting the eligibility requirements for each program. The position also calls for collaboration with other child development facilities to increase resources available and increase parent involvement. This position also works to ensure that program services are provided to families by linking them with the program's Health, Disabilities, Nutrition, Social Services, and Mental Health activities of the program.

Requirements:
- Background Check - FBI, DOJ, CACI
- Health Records/Immunizations
- Valid Driver's License.
- Up-to-date Car Insurance
- CPR & First Aid with EMSA certification; completion within 60 days of hire
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree is highly preferred. A minimum of one year experience in Child Development, Social Services, or related programs such as community-based social services organizations or preschool programs.
**Must be willing to complete an agency-sponsored Family Development Certification within 18 months of hire or provide documentation of similar certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling, or a related field.
Language Skills: Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) is highly preferred.
