Under direction of the County Superintendent of Schools, with general direction from the Deputy Superintendent of Administrative Services and the Personnel Commission for classified services, responsible to provide leadership, supervision and direction for a comprehensive Human Resources Department for the classified, certificated, charter school, and substitute teacher services, and the health and welfare benefits administration; provide direction, counsel and advice on personnel matters to programs and districts; supervise the credentialing of all public school teachers throughout El Dorado County. This is a Cabinet-level senior management position.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in human resources management, industrial relations, educational administration, public administration, or a related field preferred. Experience: Five years of increasingly responsible Human Resources experience (or closely related field), in public education, including experience in supervision and evaluation, collective bargaining, wage and salary administration, health and welfare benefits administration, and industrial relations.
