Job Summary

Job Summary

EDCOE's Mental Health and Wellness (MHW) Department provides exemplary support for children in various programs and schools throughout El Dorado County who range from preschool through grade 12. We are actively seeking to fill an opening for a Coordinator of MHW Programs who will support the implementation of wellness programs in El Dorado County. The Coordinator will assist the Director in the development, expansion, and coordination of mental health supports, provides training and assistance to school districts, the County Office of Education (EDCOE), and other agencies, primary duties include working to improve outcomes for students by integrating mental health supports in schools, reducing stigma related to mental illness, increasing trauma responsive supports in schools, assisting students in accessing mental health services, increasing the collaboration between schools and partners, and providing work direction and supervision for assigned personnel. This is a 100% grant-funded position through the HCAI Wellness Coach Employer Grant and MHSSA/BHSSA Round 4 QIS Grant with an anticipated grant end date of June 2028, unless the grant is extended or additional funding can be obtained to extend the grant beyond the end date.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education:

  • Master’s Degree in a related field is required.
  • Must possess a license and registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Licensed Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor or Licensed Educational Psychologist required.
  • A valid Pupil Personnel Services Credential or CA Administrative Services Credential is preferred.

Experience:

  • History of successful collaborative experience including child welfare, mental health, and probation services is preferred
  • Experience in supporting the implementation of complex programs
  • Experience in supporting mental health programs
  • Experience in tools and strategies related to mental health, truancy prevention, family systems, positive behavior intervention and support, and public health-inspired prevention models
  • Demonstrate ability to collaborate with stakeholders public agencies and education systems Please submit the following documents with your application:
