Job Summary
Sub Driver Position - El Dorado County Office of Education
Location : Sierra-Nevada Foothills (20 minutes from Sacramento County line)
Position Type : Full-time, Split Shift
Job Summary :
The El Dorado County Office of Education seeks Substitute Drivers to transport students with special needs within the Sierra-Nevada foothills area. This position provides an opportunity to work with a supportive team, aiding the transportation of students who receive special education services aged 2-22 throughout El Dorado County. Drivers are expected to ensure the safe loading, unloading, and transport of students on their assigned routes under the supervision of the Director of Transportation.
Key Responsibilities :
Safely transport special education students to and from school.
Load and unload students in a safe and timely manner.
Ensure vehicle and student safety during transport.
Assist students as needed with boarding and disembarking.
Install car seats, student equipment, and snow chains.
Perform minor vehicle maintenance tasks.
Attend required training (First Aid / CPR, safety training, etc.).
Requirements :
Valid Class C Driver's License
Punctual, reliable, and courteous demeanor.
Ability to work with diverse groups of people, including special needs students.
Availability for split-shift work.
Commitment to providing safe, high-quality service in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
