Job Summary
Under the direction of the Special Services Executive Director, or designee, the Special Education Adapted P. E. teacher will be responsible for facilitating Special Education student success in physical education, interpersonal skills and activities of daily living through implementing approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities, outcomes; addressing specific needs of students; providing a safe and optimal learning environment and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.
Requirements / Qualifications
Experience: One year experience in related teaching assignment; work with students with severe handicaps preferred. Education: Bachelor’s degree and valid Single Subject Teaching Credential in Physical Education with an Adapted Physical Education added authorization, or eligibility for appropriate credential/permit.
