Job Description:
As a Dining Room Server Assistant at El Encanto Restaurants, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive prompt and courteous service. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Setting tables with clean linens, condiments, and other supplies.
- Clearing tables after guests, wiping tables or seats with dampened cloths, or replacing dirty tablecloths.
- Cleaning tabletops, chairs, booths, and the floor under and around tables between guests.
- Removing used tableware between courses and providing tableware for the next course.
- Locating items requested by guests.
- Scraping and stacking dirty dishes and carrying them to the kitchens for cleaning.
- Performing serving, cleaning, or stocking duties to facilitate customer service.
- Carrying food, dishes, trays, or silverware from kitchens or supply areas to serving counters.
- Cleaning up spilled food or drink or broken dishes and removing trash.
- Serving food to guests when servers need assistance.
- Greeting guests as they are seated and serving ice water, coffee, rolls, or butter to guests.
- Maintaining adequate supplies of items such as clean linens, silverware, glassware, dishes, or trays.
- Cleaning and polishing counters, shelves, walls, furniture, or equipment in food service areas or other areas of the restaurant.
- Filling beverage or ice dispensers.
- Stocking cabinets or serving areas with condiments and refilling condiment containers.
- Communicating with servers and hosts/hostesses to expedite efficient seating, table utilization, and customer service.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have basic computer skills, knowledge of Aloha and/or similar POS systems, and ability to learn and master systems utilized by our organization. You should also possess good decision-making, speaking, and writing skills, as well as strong time management skills.
