Job Summary
El Jen Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services in is seeking a Housekeeping & Laundry Supervisor to manage the day-to-day housekeeping functions of assigned personnel and ensure that personnel are performing assigned tasks in accordance with established housekeeping procedures.
Essential Functions :
- Must have high standards of cleanliness, be able to work within budgetary guidelines, and develop staff to do the job.
- Assign personnel to specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
- Coordinate daily housekeeping services when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and / or recreational areas.
- Ensure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable and attractive manner.
- Ensure that housekeeping personnel follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.
- Ensure that established Infection Control practices are maintained when performing housekeeping procedures.
- Must be capable of operating and maintaining all housekeeping / laundry equipment (i.e., pressing machines, commercial washer / dryer, buffing machines, etc.).
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and overtime, to meet the position's requirements.
- Available for on-call for emergencies.
