Job Summary
El Jen Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services in is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to assist with all repairs and physical maintenance for the community. Ensures preventive maintenance is scheduled and performed on all equipment as needed.
Essential Functions :
- Documents preventative maintenance program for facility and equipment.
- Maintains grounds including outside community repair, lawn maintenance and garbage removal.
- Maintains inside of community, offices, and communal areas in community, including carpet and furniture cleaning, window cleaning, painting, removal of trash and upkeep of vinyl.
- Maintains clean, neat, comfortable, safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
- Maintains and / repairs community equipment; ensures equipment is functioning properly.
- Prepares apartments for move-in and completes refurbishing of apartments after moving- out, including painting of apartments.
- Observes problems, concerns, issues with resident apartments, the community and the grounds and communicates them appropriately.
- Coordinates with the local fire department for emergency procedures per state regulations / codes (i.e. fire drills)
