About the Role:
As a Route Salesman, you'll be the face of our company within your assigned territory, responsible for building strong relationships with retail partners and driving sales of our delicious tortillas. You'll wear many hats, juggling order processing, product delivery, merchandising, and proactive sales initiatives to ensure our products are well-positioned and flying off the shelves.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned route: Plan and execute your daily route efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries and maximizing product freshness.
- Sales & Account Management: Cultivate long-term relationships with assigned retail accounts, understanding their needs and exceeding their expectations.
- Merchandising: Ensure optimal product visibility and presentation within stores, rotating stock, and building eye-catching displays.
- Order Processing: Accurately process customer orders, ensuring correct product selection and quantities.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels at assigned accounts, identifying and addressing potential stockouts.
- Promotional Execution: Implement marketing campaigns and promotional activities within your territory.
- Data Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and customer interactions, providing valuable insights for sales planning.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of sales experience, preferably within the food industry.
- Strong work ethic, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, independent environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport with diverse clientele.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unexpected situations effectively.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency in relevant software (e.g., CRM, route planning).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
