What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laboratory Informatics Specialist, FT Days position at El Paso Children's Hospital?
Serves as functional expert regarding the software capabilities and performance of the Department Information Systems including Soft Lab Computer, Cerner and other Department developed databases, as well as, their interfaces with the Hospital information systems. Under the direction of the Manager provides support and facilitates training to Department Employees on Soft Lab Computers System(s), Cerner and policies and procedures. Act as a liaison in laboratory information initiatives within the laboratory department and other departments. Responsible for the implementation of new systems and identifying new avenues of efficiency that can be gained from these technologies. Maintains the charge description master and ensures proper CPT codes pricing are utilized.
