What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric Cardio Thoracic Surgeon position at El Paso Children's Hospital?
Diagnosis, treatment, preoperative, operative, and postoperative management of basic to complex heart surgical problems in infants, children, adolescents, and young adults in an in-patient and outpatient setting. Responsible for performing heart treatments. The responsibilities of cardiovascular surgeons include inserting pacemakers, performing bypass surgeries, and surgeries on various arteries. Pediatric cardiothoracic surgeon will be responsible for examining patients that suffer from heart issues, making diagnoses, determining treatments and surgical procedures, performing surgical procedures to correct, improve, and remove heart problems, advising on
lifestyle changes post-surgery. Collaboration with medical and adjunct specialties will be encouraged to allow for the pursuit of innovative program development.
