Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Laborer to join our team at El Paso JAG. In this role, you will assist with various construction tasks, contributing to the successful completion of electrical and communication projects. Your work will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our operations.
Responsibilities
1. Works with supervisors to perform tasks as directed
2. General knowledge in construction trades including but not limited to:
- Concrete - forming and finish
- Framing - wood and metal stud
- Drywall - taping, texture and paint
- Flooring - VCT, tile, carpet squares
- Drop ceilings - Grid and Tile
3. Operates power tools to include air compressor, jackhammer, concrete saw, trencher, skill saw, etc.
4. Maintains a clean and safe work environment by sweeping, cleaning, and removing trash.
5. Maintains and upkeeps property, tools, equipment, and materials at all times.
6. Complies with company policies and procedures giving special attention to safety regulations.
7. Works effectively with others and takes direction as necessary.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
Construction Experience: 1 - 2 years (Required)
Construction Experience: 3 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
Driver's License (Required)
Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
