Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Charge Nurse plays a critical role in overseeing nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care, and managing daily operations within the unit. This position requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in various nursing specialties, including but not limited to neonatal care, ICU, and behavioral health.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate nursing staff activities to ensure optimal patient care.
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Provide health coaching and education to patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with hospital policies.
- Assist with phlebotomy procedures as needed.
- Manage emergency situations effectively, including those involving infectious diseases or trauma cases.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating neonatal ventilators and providing specialized care for newborns.
- Experience in a Level II Trauma Center or similar critical care environment.
- Strong background in behavioral health nursing practices.
- Ability to perform toddler care with compassion and expertise.
- Knowledge of medical documentation standards and practices.
- Familiarity with infectious disease protocols and management strategies.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a high-pressure setting.

Pay: $33.00 - $45.00 per hour
