POSITION: Patient Service Representative (PSR)

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Patient Service Representative will report to the Clinic Administrator or his/her designee. Assist in enrollment of qualified program patients for Medi-Cal, HMOs, Medi-Medi, My Health LA (MHLA), Child Health and Disability Prevention Program (CHDP), Primary Care Physician (PCP) changes, Covered CA and Cal Kids. Comply with all State and Federal Plan Regulations that apply to this position. Will provide membership services function to our enrolled patients and recruit new patients. S/he will complete all paperwork necessary for enrollments, sign-ups, conversations, and follow-ups. Will assist and support the health care team to improve customer service in the clinics and in any area functions as deemed necessary. S/he will perform other duties as assigned.

Lead PSR: S/he will be responsible for the supervision of all PSRs.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS: Must have a pleasant and professional representation of the corporation. Mature judgment, tact, discretion, and confidentiality are mandatory. Must be knowledgeable of computers and Bilingual (Spanish/English).

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must submit to and pass a drug test and a criminal background clearance as a pre-condition for employment. Must be able to provide proof of vaccinations for COVID-19 vaccination and booster, MMR, TDAP, and Hepatitis B. Must provide recent TB test. BLS/CPR certification required.

QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma OR GED and a minimum two (2) years of experience in marketing, customer service and/or clinical setting. Must be certified as Application Assistant (CAA) or in the process of being certified as an Application Assistant (CAA).
