Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst is to support El Rio’s Mission of providing comprehensive, quality health care that is affordable and accessible to all who may have healthcare needs, by successfully performing the primary essential functions. \n \nEssential Job Functions : \n\nLeads requirements gathering sessions, analyzes requirements, designs, and develops analytical projects working closely together with users, finding the best possible solution to a given business problem\nElicits requirements using interviews, requirements meetings, surveys, document analysis, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, workflow analysis, and any other appropriate methodologies\nLeads the development of metrics, dashboards, and reports using commonly accepted BI tools \nServes as a liaison between the business organization and the Analyst team; works with Architects / DBAs / Developers / etc. as necessary to translate business needs and questions into technical solutions\nWorks closely and cooperatively with development / support team on product design; makes recommendations for changes to enhance support and usability \nPresents recommendations regarding data architecture, strategy requirements, and scale of information that is required for the organization \nValidates that data warehouses / data marts meet user requirements and service-level agreements \nAssists with creating end-user training and documentation \nServes as an informational resource and Subject Matter Expert (SME) to internal / external clients and external organizations or agency representatives for software and technical matters related to Electronic Health Records, workflows, reporting / dashboard requirements, and other related issues \nPresents information using data visualization techniques \nMeets established time frames and rates of performance for the quality and quantity of work for the position \nDemonstrates a high level of technical expertise, quality, efficiency, and accuracy in the employee’s job performance \nDemonstrates an exceptional level of customer service; answering and responding to all incoming calls, emails, and inquiries in a timely and effective manner, responding to assigned Help Desk tickets and / or ad-hoc requests for support providing information and resolution to these technical inquiries or complaints \nProvides timely educational feedback to internal clients to improve the understanding and individual performance regarding identified errors or deficiencies \nEffectively interacts with department heads and other internal clients regarding the implementation of, and compliance with, changes to systems operational requirements and / or standards \nParticipates in the effective and efficient communication and distribution of information with organizational leadership and end-users that fosters and maintains an effective and collaborative understanding between the Analyst team and Clinical Operations\n\nOther Duties and Responsibilities : \n\nIn support of the Mission and Vision of El Rio Health, will at all times represent themselves as a professional role model of El Rio Health serving as a positive informational source for members of the community. \nSupports El Rio by participating in community events which promote good health and which contribute to a broader awareness and understanding of El Rio Health and the many services provided to the community. \nParticipates in all appropriate health care activities related to El Rio Health on a local, state, and national level to maintain and enhance El Rio’s image with health agencies, professional associations, and the public. \nEnsures and supports the cost-effective use of materials, supplies, and equipment by limiting waste of all organizational supplies and resources. \nEmployees must maintain their skills proficiency with El Rio operating systems and / or software programs by adapting to changing requirements and successfully learning and demonstrating new skills in response to software, system, and program improvements or upgrades. \nPerforms other duties as assigned. \n\nThis job description has been reviewed to ensure that the minimum essential functions and basic duties have been included to successfully perform the duties, tasks, assignments, and responsibilities of this position. The essential job functions and responsibilities align with El Rio Health’s Cultural Beliefs : \nMinimum Education and Experience : \n\nBachelor’s degree in business, Management Information System, Computer Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited college or university. \nThree (3) years’ experience working with T-SQL, Power BI, statistical analysis and other applications. \n\nIf applicable, equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered, and must be directly related to the functions and responsibilities of the job. \nRequired Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations : \n\nEmployees in this position are required to have reliable transportation that can meet any operational reassignments of the organization during the workday.
