What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping Houseperson position at El Roblar Investment Property Manager LLC?
We are looking for somebody to help set up and create an environment and build a team. The essential function of the Houseperson Attendant is responsible for providing luxury housekeeping services to all guest requests, guest rooms, property’s interior and exterior facilities reporting to housekeeping management team.
The Houseperson reports directly to the Director of Housekeeping and is responsible for providing luxury housekeeping services to all guest rooms, according to procedures established by Hotel El Roblar.
Ensure the smooth and professional cleaning and servicing of the premises - linen closets, rooms, patios, light scones, rugs, rooms furniture, cushions, pool cushions, scones, picking up dirty linens and trash, as well delivering clean linen and other amenities or miscellaneous to restock linen/supply closets. Responsible for maintaining cleanliness in all areas of the hotel.
Prinicpal duties and responsibilities include:
- Review daily assignment sheets and update completed assignments. Check with the supervisor for additional assignments throughout the shift.
- Load/unload linen and supplies in/out of cart following departmental standards.
- Transport linen and supplies from cart to designated areas
- Organize and stock all incoming linen from Laundry in closets
- Monitor and maintain designated supply levels.
- Maintain and monitor cleanliness of work areas.
- Assist housekeeping staff as assigned.
- Engage each guest with a smile and appropriate greeting, using the guest’s name whenever appropriate.
- Graciously accommodate guest requests in a timely manner.
- Make suggestions for improvement in overall operations with an emphasis on increasing guest satisfaction, revenue and cost reduction.
- Work in accordance with hotel and departmental safety standards.
- Use all hotel equipment safely and properly.
- Perform other duties as directed, developed or assigned.
- One year’s experience in a similar position.
- High school graduate or equivalent vocational training.
- Ability to communicate with guests, co-workers and managers.
- Ability to read labels, instructions and checklists
- Experience in a luxury Resort
- Bilingual
- Great communication skills
- Excellent grooming
- Confidence and ability to perform under pressure
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment (buffer machine/extractor/pressure washer)
Physical Qualifications
1. Frequent or occasional need to perform the following physical activities: reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting, and climbing. Have frequent need to perform standing and walking activities related to inspecting property.
2. Constant need to perform the following physical activities: grasping, turning, finger dexterity.
3. Availability to stand for long periods of time.
4. Lifting/carrying up to 20 lbs. frequently and 50lbs. occasionally.
5. Vision requirements: constant need to view small print. Frequent need to see small details and things clearly beyond arms’ reach.
6. Hearing requirements: constant need to speak on telephone and/or two-way radio, respond to general public and converse with staff. Ability to hear fire alarms and emergency equipment.
