What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at El Rodeo?
Overview:
We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Host. As a Host, you will be responsible for providing excellent hospitality and customer service to our guests. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment and contribute to creating a positive dining experience for our patrons.
Must be available weekends! Friday 4pm -9pm; Saturdays 12:00 - 9pm & Sundays 11:30-8 pm. Some weekday shifts available also. Typical hours are 4:30-8:30 (weekdays)
Duties:
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly welcome
- Seat guests and provide them with menus
- Take reservations and manage the waitlist
- Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries
- Use Toast POS system to process payments accurately
-Ocassionally assist servers in bussing tables, etc
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
- Assist with food service when needed
Experience:
- Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting is preferred
- Familiarity with Toast POS system is a plus
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of guest services and guest relations
