As the Sr Consortium Manager, you will be entrusted with leading and coordinating the activities of the community health worker/promotor/representative (CHW/P/R) Consortium. This role involves fostering collaboration among Consortium members, developing policy recommendations, and advocating for public health policies aligning with the organization's mission and goals. The Manager will facilitate communication and coordination among community-based organizations (CBOs), support work groups, and drive the Consortium's collective action toward improving community-driven outcomes.


Responsibilities:

I. Leadership & Strategy Development


  • Lead the development and execution of the consortium's strategic goals, ensuring alignment with the mission of improving community health through CHWs and Promotores.

• Facilitate collaboration among consortium members, encouraging the sharing of best practices, resources, and knowledge.

• Cultivate strong relationships with consortium members, external stakeholders, funders, and community-based organizations (CBOs).

• Foster partnerships with Managed Care Plans (MCPs), County health agencies, and other relevant organizations to enhance the overall effectiveness.

• Represent the consortium at key meetings, conferences, and events to promote its mission and expand its network of partners.

• Collaborate with consortium members to develop and advocate for policies that support the CHW model and address the barriers to effective implementation.

• Engage in advocacy efforts to promote policies that improve community health outcomes, representing the Consortium in public health policy discussions and forums.

• Responsible for all facets of programming and service development and delivery, through planning, budgeting, implementation, evaluation, and report writing.

• Establish and maintain all programs files and documentation in an appropriate and accountable manner according to established standards and audits guidelines.

• Ensure consistency of quality, accountability and high standards in all programs and services - both client support and education. This includes providing training for staff and developing procedures, models, and comprehensive frameworks of delivery.

• Maintain appropriate program controls to ensure all programs are within the scope of the annual work and maintain the accreditations.

• Allocate, maintain, and complete accurate statistical records for all programs and services on the agency database, providing funders with comprehensive details on programs offered.

• Consistently evaluate all programs and services that are carried out to assess their impact and success and to make needed changes and improvements as indicated.


II. Management and Capacity Building

• Oversee the development of the strategic direction for consortium members and their staff, ensuring that CHWs are equipped with core competencies in communication, health service navigation, and cultural competency.

• Provide technical assistance and support to consortium members to enhance organizational capacity and program implementation.

•Conduct regular performance appraisals of program staff, providing constructive feedback and direction as to improvement.

• Monitor local, state, and federal policy developments relevant to CHWs and Promotores, ensuring the consortium is at the forefront of advocacy efforts.

• Foster an environment encouraging to all staff with an interpersonal team approach.


III. Other related duties

•Collaborate with the Data & Evaluation Department to evaluate consortium programs, track progress, and report outcomes.

• Attend meetings with funders and ensure timely reporting.

• Identify funding opportunities and lead efforts to secure grants and donations to support the consortium's activities and initiatives.

• Manage budgets and allocate resources to ensure financial sustainability and effective use of funds.

• Participate actively as an agency representative in collaboration with partner networks and in related community activities.

• Identify areas of opportunity for program and service staff.

• Analyze and revise program budgets.

•Perform other duties as assigned
