Construction Project Manager / Site Superintendent
Job Description:
Elaine Allen, LLC is a commercial general contractor and construction management company, specializing in ground-up, interior renovation, remodels, and design-build projects. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager/Site Superintendent to oversee our growing portfolio of commercial construction projects. This role requires the candidate to manage all aspects of the construction project, from initial planning, schedule of values, to final delivery, ensuring our projects are completed on time, within budget, and meets our excellent quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, along with the ability to manage the day-to-day on-site operations and the administrative skills of budgeting and resource allocation. The ideal candidate must possess experience in monitoring safety, productivity, and work quality, and be able to effectively collaborate with management, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and our self-performing craft force team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of commercial construction projects, ensuring alignment with schedule of values, budget, timeline, and quality requirements.
- Lead and manage both project and site operations, including the supervision of subcontractors, and various trade teams.
- Ensure job sites operate efficiently by coordinating logistics, labor, equipment, and materials.
- Monitor and report on project progress, conduct daily site inspections, address issues promptly to maintain productivity and schedule adherence.
- Oversee safety to ensure all team members adhere to applicable safety codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to resolve design issues, conflicts, and other project-related challenges.
- Prepare and manage project documentation including contracts, permits, drawings, and specifications.
- Provide weekly electronic progress updates, labor reports, and budget forecasts to stakeholders and management.
- Implement recovery plans and adjust schedules as necessary to meet project time deadlines and scope of work budgets.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and quality assurance standards.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in construction management or site supervision.
- Proven ability to manage commercial construction projects from start to finish, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation (project portfolio examples upon request).
- Experience in carpentry, framing, and concrete work.
- Strong understanding of blueprints, project schedule of values, safety standards, and industry regulations.
- Effective leader and good communication skills, with the ability to manage teams and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project).
- Self-directed and motivated with strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field is preferred but not required.
- Flexibility to travel within a 100-mile radius as needed.
