What are the responsibilities and job description for the LAUNDRY AIDE/Distribution/Housekeeping position at Elan Skilled Nursing?
SUMMARY: This employee performs all necessary tasks related to the institutional laundering process to include; washing, drying, folding and distribution of all linens and resident clothing, as well as other linen products used within the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Collecting and transporting clean and soiled linen to and from the laundry.
- Sorting, washing, drying, folding, packaging all linen and residents clothing laundered at the facility.
- Distribution of clean linen and residents clothing throughout the facility.
- Maintain a clean safe laundry environment by participating in daily cleaning of the laundry facilities.
5. Maintains confidentiality and respects residents privacy.
6. Follows safety and Infection Control Policies and Procedures.
7. Follows all other applicable department and facility policies.
8. Attends staff inservice programs as scheduled.
