Job Description:
The family is looking for a caring, responsible, and energetic U.S.-based Au Pair to assist with childcare for their two boys. The ideal candidate will be proactive, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting children in their daily activities. This role offers the opportunity to become an integral part of the family and contribute to the children’s growth and development in a dynamic, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide full-time childcare for two young boys, ensuring they are safe, happy, and engaged throughout the day.
- Plan and lead educational, creative, and recreational activities (e.g., arts and crafts, games, outdoor play, reading).
- Prepare and serve healthy meals and snacks for the children.
- Help with morning and evening routines, including dressing, bathing, and ensuring personal hygiene.
- Assist with light household duties related to the children, such as cleaning up after meals, organizing play areas, and laundry.
- Transport the children to school, activities, and playdates as necessary.
- Support the children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development by fostering positive behaviors and habits.
- Maintain open and regular communication with the parents about the children’s well-being, milestones, and any concerns.
Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (no visa sponsorship required).
- Previous experience working with children (e.g., babysitter, nanny, daycare worker).
- Energetic, reliable, and creative with a love for working with children.
- Ability to commit to the full-time position for a minimum of 1 year.
- Comfortable living in a family home and being part of daily family life.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain before starting).
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- A positive attitude, patience, and flexibility in a family setting.
