As a member of Elanders Group, Midland Information Resources (dba Elanders Americas), is a leader in high-volume, short-run print and digital media reproduction and distribution. We are seeking an Ecommerce Specialist for our Davenport location
As an Ecommerce Specialist, you'll be an integral part of our Project Management Team, dedicated to designing, implementing, and supporting a variety of ecommerce systems and platforms.
In this dynamic role, you'll manage all aspects of technical projects, from gathering requirements and crafting innovative solutions, to collaborating with our internal team for seamless deployment and ensuring our customers' expectations are exceeded.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with our strategic customers is key, and you'll be at the forefront of ongoing communication and support.
We're looking for a candidate who brings a blend of technical expertise, exceptional customer service, strong communication skills, and a creative mindset.
We are seeking candidates who can work full-time on-site at our Davenport facility for a minimum of the first 90 days. This Position is eligible for a hybrid schedule after training is complete.
The position reports to the Director of IT.
Responsibilities
· Learn, understand, and explain all major functions of a technical system.
· Learn and understand the complex business requirements and needs of customers; utilize this understanding to guide customers through successful implementations and system enhancements.
· Create project plans and documentation on assigned projects; write clear and accurate project documents such as statements of work, change requests, and status reports.
- Provide a vision to the project team and guide them in identifying and prioritizing tasks; maintain project timelines and communicate changes and impacts to the project.
· Manage many projects simultaneously while leading process improvement
· Host effective and efficient meetings, tracking agendas, meeting minutes, and action items; hold meetings in appropriate format - in person, by phone, and with interactive video.
· Keep customers and management informed of project status and issues on regular and timely basis.
· Write clear and understandable user documentation, technical documents, project documents.
· Bridge communication gaps between business users and technical staff to meet project goals.
· Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members from around the world.
· Gather insight from internal partners to form recommendations and system improvements.
· As part of the Cybersecurity team, keep a continuous focus on the security of company networks and resources; know and understand company security policies and watch for risks and vulnerabilities
· Support the company’s commitment to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.
· Speak English fluently
· Travel occasionally, overnight stays required

Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant area of study and at least five (5) or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
· Background in interfacing between customers and development teams
· Solid understanding of software development life cycle models
- Balanced business/technical background:
- Sufficient level of technical background to provide credible leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues
- Ability to provide leadership to business analysts and collaborate with customers and develop strategies and solutions of high business value
· Experience with setup, design, deployment, and support of Ecommerce stores.
· Experience integrating platforms and solutions using tools such as Zapier, OrderDesk, APIs, Webhooks, and others.
· Experience with common Ecommerce platforms such as Shopify, BigCommerce, Cart.com, Amazon, or other similar platforms is preferred.
· Experience working with social media selling platforms such as TikTok, Facebook, or sales funnel platforms is preferred
· Experience with Punchout, EDI, and other order management tools a plus.
· Microsoft Certifications, Project Management Institute Certifications, and Cybersecurity Certifications preferred
· Experience with Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint preferred
· Basic understanding of programming languages and databases
- · Proficient in SQL, Visual Studio & DevOps, and Digital Asset Management.
