Elauwit is seeking an Financial Analyst (AP/AR) who will be a member of the Finance team. The Financial Analyst (AP/AR) will be responsible for managing the processing, recording, and reconciliation of both accounts payable (money owed to vendors) and accounts receivable (money owed by customers) transactions within Elauwit, ensuring accurate financial operations and reporting by verifying invoices, collecting payments, and maintaining detailed financial records.
Position is based in Columbia SC and will require you to work out of an office for majority of the week (minimum 3 days).
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Invoice processing: Receiving, reviewing, and verifying vendor invoices for accuracy, including matching with purchase orders and price discrepancies.
- Data entry: Entering invoice details into the accounting system, including vendor information, invoice amounts, and due dates.
- Payment processing: Preparing and submitting vendor payments according to payment terms, including obtaining necessary approvals.
- Customer billing: Generating and sending invoices to customers, ensuring correct pricing and billing information.
- Payment collection: Following up with delinquent accounts, contacting customers to remind them of outstanding payments.
- Account reconciliation: Matching customer payments to outstanding invoices and reconciling accounts receivable balances.
- Statement generation: Preparing and mailing customer statements detailing their account balances.
- Maintaining financial records: Filing and organizing all accounting documents related to accounts payable and receivable.
- Identifying discrepancies: Investigating and resolving any discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders, and payments.
- Reporting: Preparing and providing regular financial reports on accounts payable and receivable status.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- College Degree in accounting, or relevant experience.
- Two (2) years' experience in a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Proficiency in Quickbooks Online, Procore, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with PROCORE highly preferred.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial transactions.
- Excellent communication skills for contacting vendors and customers regarding payments.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Good organizational skills to maintain accurate financial records.
Physical and Additional Requirements:
- Ability of lift and carry objects up to 25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, standing, and walking.
- Some weekend and/or night work or on-call may be required.
- Must be willing to complete background checks and drug tests as required by current or future contracts.
