Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of general dentistry practices and be proficient in dental assisting techniques. This role involves working closely with dentists to provide high-quality patient care, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the clinic. Familiarity with dental systems, including 3D scanners and electronic health records, is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Perform administrative duties as required to support the clinic's operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a dental clinic
- Proficient knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy related to dentistry.
- Familiarity with 3D scanning technology is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is advantageous but not mandatory.
