Job Description

The Director of Finance will provide financial services and resources to business units and others, as needed to accomplish business plans and objectives of Elbit Systems of America by keeping abreast of the state-of-art in finance, government contracts, compliance, and information technology.

Qualifications

Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Provide financial services and resources to business units and others, as needed to accomplish business plans and objectives.

• Recruit and retain staff with necessary expertise and experience.

• Provide professional training to staff as required.

• Lead the company-wide long term planning process.

• Responsible for the company’s AOP and forecast.

• Keep abreast of the state-of-art in finance, government contracts, compliance, and information technology.

• Create, maintain and continuously evolve finance organization, process and infrastructure needed for continuous improvement.

• Meet finance functional performance goals as agreed to with business unit leaders and site management.

• Provide input to strategic planning, and coordinate these plans with the financial planning process.

• Adhere to internal and external standards and core values.

• Provide constant, accurate communication to our customers on all Finance activities that affect them.

• Other related duties as assigned by senior management.

• Set financial functional performance standards and measurements.

• Create financial functional organization and infrastructure.

• Be a key player in the pricing process with an emphasis on improving the profitability of the business.

• Provide financial reporting to business units and functional department.

• Chair capital equipment approval committee.

Education, Experience & License or Certification:

• Master degree is preferred

• Bachelor's degree is required

• Specific Degree Field Required: Accounting or Finance.

• Training Pre-requisites (Within One Year of Taking Position):
  • ESD
  • Safety Training, as dictated by Safety Department

• Preferred Certificationsl/Licenses:
  • CPA

Skills and Abilities:

• In-depth knowledge of Accounting processes and regulations applicable to providing financial services to a manufacturing organization.

• Long range planning, forecast, AOP, and pricing experience.

• Experience in the aerospace/defense industry.

• Ability to design financial processes and metrics for appropriate functional units with Finance Department.

• Overall mind set of continuous improvement.

• Ability to manage and develop a managerial and professional staff.

• Experience in interpreting and presenting financial information to senior management.

• Skilled in using financial data systems and specific software applications as required.

• Excellent verbal and written presentation skills.
