What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floor Technician (Full Time) position at Elcor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center?
Floor Technicians in the Elcor Housekeeping department play an essential role in maintaining a safe, healthy, and inviting environment. Keeping floors clean and well-maintained can prevent accidents, improve indoor air quality, reduce the spread of germs and bacteria, extend the life of flooring, and create a positive impression of the appearance of spaces in our building. 1 year prior relevant experience preferred. H ours are primarily 6 : 30am to 3 : 00pm, but will rotate to 10 : 30 PM - 7 : 00 AM as necessary.
Job duties include, but are not limited to :
Cleaning : Sweeping, mopping, and cleaning carpets
Maintenance : Stripping, waxing, and buffing floors
Equipment Operation : Using floor cleaning machines like buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums
Safety : Following safety procedures and guidelines, adhering to organizational safety, risk management, and infection control standards
Preventative Maintenance : Cleaning and maintaining equipment, recommending supply needs
Other Tasks : Assisting with other cleaning tasks, such as light window and wall cleaning
Reporting : Reporting any maintenance or repair needs to a supervisor
Other duties as assigned
