Job Position: Home Health Aide
Job Summary: Responsible for providing personal care to the residents in their activities of daily living; bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, exercises, activities, bed mobility, transferring and toileting, as well as medication administration, meal preparation and service, light housekeeping and laundry.
Hours of Work: As scheduled; may include weekdays, weekends, holidays and evenings. Schedule may vary from pay period to pay period. Full-time & Part-time Shifts available!

Responsibilities
• Performs personal care activities, including but not limited to bathing residents (including partial baths given with AM and PM cares), shampoo/ hair care, skincare/ nail care (including foot soaks) and oral hygiene/ denture care.
• Provides assistance with meals/snacks and fresh water including feeding residents and providing supplemental nourishments when indicated.
• Assists with ambulation and exercises and with body re-positioning or transfers of clients who have limited mobility.
• Assists with toileting, bowel and bladder control, bladder training, and incontinent products.
• Administers medications and treatments under the direction and monitoring of an LPN and delegation by an RN.
• Reports changes in the client’s condition and needs to the nurse.
• Proactively encourages and supports residents’ rights.
• Understands and complies with the responsibilities of a mandated reported for vulnerable adults.
• Understands and observes the need for strict resident confidentiality.
• Offers resolution of or a visit from the appropriate individual who may offer resolution of any dislikes or concerns and communicates these actions to supervisor.
Requirements
• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Possesses the ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal directions and work with limited supervision.
• Demonstrates an accepting and therapeutic attitude towards the sick, disabled, and the elderly and possess the maturity to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
• Successfully complete the 16 hour training course and competency evaluation.
