COMMITMENTS
- Follow procedures as set out in the Elder Project Engineer SOP manual.
- Perform in a manner that will result in constructive feedback from our subcontractors.
- Assist in creating a culture of safety by setting a team player example at all times.
- Maintain quality by ensuring project documents are current, organized and properly distributed.
- Attend Pre-Construction & Operations transition meetings.
- Create submittal log with lead times within 5 business days of executed owner contract or as needed.
- Maintain project documentation
- Prepare agendas and meeting minutes for all weekly OAC meetings
- Assist in follow up on all action items resulting from each OAC meeting
- Prepare Subcontractor Meeting Minutes weekly.
- Review, log, prepare and distributes all project submittals
- Review, log, prepare and distributes all project RFI’s (Request for Information)
- Review, log, prepare and distributes all project ASI (Architects Supplemental Instructions), PR (Proposal Request), CCD (Construction Change Directive)
- Assemble costs associated with submittal changes, responses to all RFI’s, ASI’s, PR’s CCD’s as needed
- Assist with project schedule changes and how they affect the projects subcontractors and suppliers. Ensure long lead items are incorporated into schedule.
- Prepare Owner Change Orders and Subcontract Change Orders for Project Manager’s review.
- Monitor and track testing and inspection reports
- Prepare job site daily logs
- Assist in recording project delays, substantial completion and certificate of occupancy
- Prepare and deliver O&M closeout documentation at owner turn over
- Distribute OAC Meeting Minutes within 48 hours after the meeting.
- Distribute Subcontractor Meeting Minutes within 48 hours after the meeting.
- Turn-in timecard on a weekly basis.
- Participate in Punch list. Distribute Punch list to subcontractors within 24 hours after the walk.
- Assist in completion of Project Closeout within 20 business days of substantial completion on the project.
- Prepare annual career development plan for Senior Project Manager’s review.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field or 2 years experience as a construction Project Engineer.
- Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, Outlook, Project and Bluebeam
- Familiar with PDF creation and modification
- Maintain excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand contract documents, construction plans, specifications, shop drawings, product data and project documentation.
- Willingness to learn.
