Description :
The Superintendent position is Elder Construction’s representative in the field. They work as a team with the Project Manager / Project Engineer to deliver successful projects to our clients. Superintendent reports directly to the Project Executive.
Commitments
1. Maintain a culture of safety with a goal of zero lost time accidents annually.
2. Maintain project quality that meets or exceeds industry standards as well as the expectations of Elder Construction, the Architect and the Project Owner.
a. Punch list at or below a rate of 5 items per 100k of revenue.
b. Punchlist completed within 5 working days.
3. Maintain or exceed estimated profit on each project.
4. Maintain client relations by ensuring clients will declare that they are 100% satisfied with Elder Construction.
5. Maintain subcontractor relations by achieving commitments on or before an agreed upon date.
a. Maintaining accurate project schedule.
b. Ensuring that project is ready when subcontractors arrive on site.
ACTIVITIES
- Update project schedule on a weekly basis. Distribute to subcontractors.
- Conduct safety observation report on a weekly basis. Distribute to subcontractors.
- Conduct weekly toolbox talk. Maintain sign-in sheet.
- Conduct safety orientation for all trades on-site.
- Conduct quarterly project safety audits with 3rd Party Risk Manager or as needed.
- Communicate field changes back to the project manager.
- Perform Daily Project Logs.
- Participate and take ownership of punch walk and punch completion.
- Perform ECI quality control checks (pre-placement, pre-drywall, pre-paint, ECI punch list, etc.)
- Attend monthly WIP review for the project.
- Turn-in timecard on a weekly basis.
- Code and approve credit card statement on a monthly basis.
- Provide project codes for timecards and receipts to carpenters / laborers when they are assigned to your project.
- Maintain company vehicles and equipment in a professional manner.
- Prepare annual career development plan for PX’s review.

6. Have OSHA 10-hour training or get OSHA 10-hour training within 60 days of employment.
