Job Summary:
The Driver Manager provides creative solutions to promote the growth of our truckload division and ensures company goals and objectives are achieved.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Solicit freight from customers to increase overall utilization of trucks/drivers.
Daily planning of truckload driving associates to increase utilization.
Manages dispatching and routing activities for the OTR and truckload team and tracks transportation vehicles.
Schedules driver routes, ensuring efficiency of load(s) according to HOS and Customer Requirements.
Uses knowledge of freight movement to answer inquiries or to forward to the appropriate staff.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong leadership skills to ensure drivers’ compliance w/direction & assignments.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, logistical, analytical & problem-solving skills.
Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.
Knowledge of DOT requirements and freight movement industry
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 3 years of related experience with freight movement required.
