FULL TIME CAREGIVER- BIG BEAR

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Full-Time On-Call Caregiver to provide hands-on, supportive, and personal non-medical care to clients. This role requires availability Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, to assist clients with activities of daily living and ensure their comfort and safety. The territory includes All of Big Bear The caregiver will work on an on-call basis and must be prepared to respond promptly to requests during assigned hours.

Responsibilities

The caregiver will provide attendant care services that are specific to the needs of the client, which may include but are not limited to:

Personal Care:

• Assisting clients with mobility (e.g., getting into/out of bed and with ambulation).
• Providing help with bathing, grooming, and skin/hair care.
• Assisting with dressing, eating, and toileting (including help with adult briefs).

Health-Related Services:

• Providing medication reminders.
• Reporting changes in the client's condition or needs.

Supportive Services:

• Planning and preparing nutritious meals.
• Performing light housekeeping tasks incidental to caregiving duties (not the primary responsibility).

Documentation:

• Utilizing the WellSky personal care app to:
• Clock in and out of shifts.
• Record and check off tasks completed during each shift.
• Obtain electronic signatures from both the client and caregiver.
• Adhering to the Electronic Verification System (EVV) requirements, as mandated by California law.

Additional Duties:

• Complying with company policies and procedures.
• Maintaining a high standard of professionalism and care.

Job Requirements

• Availability: Must be on-call and available Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Transportation: Reliable transportation required.
• Technology Skills: Comfortable using the WellSky app and other required systems.
• Background Check: Must complete a LiveScan fingerprinting and background check and be registered with the State of California as a Home Care Aide.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving or related fields.
• Flexibility to take on additional clients or shifts, if available.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly Rate: Starting at $18.00 per hour plus mileage. You will be paid 40 hours per week whether you are with a client or not.
• Paid Time Off: 5 paid sick days annually and up to 5 paid vacation days.

Work Schedule

• Core On-Call Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
