Technical Support Specialist 1 - hybrid model - Hiring bonus!

Seeking Technical Support Specialist I to provide technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software for Non-Profit Agency of 300 employees. Responsible for configuration of new desktops and laptops on three-year upgrade schedule. Provide phone, email and in person support to internal customers by responding to tickets. Setup, maintain, support agency owned mobile devices. Provide technical support to service area dining sites, travel may be required. Maintain and update device inventory. Train users on issues that can be resolved on their own. Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software. Run diagnostics programs to resolve issues. Provide follow up with users to ensure issues have been resolved. Deliver basic troubleshooting of LAN, WAN, and WIFI networks. Provide setup and support of 8x8 IP phone. Document, log and track all information relating to customer problems in the help desk information database including submitting knowledge base articles for approval. Must exhibit critical thinking prowess and possess excellent troubleshooting skills. Performs all other duties necessary for the successful operation of the agency as assigned by Supervisor or a member of the ESWA Management team.

Qualifications and Abilities:

Bachelor’s degree in technical field preferred. 1 year of relevant experience working within an IT Support role is required. Strong Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office 365, and applications knowledge required.

Use of a reliable vehicle including active vehicle insurance with a current license to drive required.

Must have the ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing and to read and follow detailed instructions; Ability to write and create assorted documents and other related materials. Ability to work effectively with all levels within the organization. Must have substantial physical mobility. Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Must have the ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing and to read and follow detailed instructions. Ability to create and write assorted step by step instructions. Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and be comfortable helping individuals within a diverse user community. Ability to multi-task and establish priorities, in a fast-paced environment. Detailed oriented, organized, and solution driven. Must be able to work cohesively as a member of a small but busy department.

  • A hiring bonus will be awarded in 2 parts, half at 120 Days, and half at 1 year of active employment. The bonus for this position is $1,000.
