Job Summary
We are seeking a hardworking dishwasher/meal prep person to join our dietary team. In this role, you will be responsible for dishwashing for breakfast and lunch service and meal prep as needed. Elderhaus serves individuals living with dementia and other disabilities.
Description of Job Responsibilities
1. Clean-up after meals, including breakfast dishes, etc.
2. Wash dishes according to Health Dept Regulations.
3. Put dishes away when dry.
4. Participate in cleaning kitchen: wiping counters, sweeping & mopping floors, taking out trash & recycling, disposing of expired food.
5. Take direction form Dietary Manager & Cook for meal preparation as needed.
6. Other duties as assigned and as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and kitchen equipment is a plus.
- A background in hospitality or banquet services can enhance your application.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.05 - $16.64 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
