Recreation Assistant at ElderHealth & Living – Join the FUN!
ElderHealth & Living, a locally owned and operated Memory Care Village, is seeking a dynamic, artistic, energetic, and outgoing applicant to fill our Recreation Assistant position. This is a full-time (30 hours a week), day hours position and will include rotating weekends.
Our Recreation Assistants contribute to the overall wellbeing of our residents in very meaningful ways. Our department is busy, lively, and full of activity. We value person-centered, resident-directed recreational programs. Recreation Assistants embody compassion, patience, and have an excellent social aptitude.
A qualified candidate can work independently, to lead and facilitate therapeutic activities under the direction of the Recreation Coordinator, and provides personal care for our residents as needed.
Our programs include arts and craft classes, exercise groups, themed parties, and groups organized around games that offer mental stimulation. Music is a large and important part of our program and the excellent candidate will enjoy singing or playing an instrument.
*Looking for an individual who is able to play instruments for our residents but not required.
*The right candidate must be able to drive the company bus and be able to take residents to and from appointments.
