Elderly Caregiver

Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to an individual in home health environments. The ideal candidate will have experience in direct support and a strong understanding of resident rights. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Assist client with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to individual, fostering a positive environment.
• Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring adherence to prescribed guidelines.
• Support client with dementia care, utilizing appropriate techniques to enhance communication and engagement.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for resident by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Document daily activities and any changes in health condition accurately.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a caregiver in a nursing home setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of meal preparation and cooking skills to assist client with nutritional needs.
• Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow specific instructions
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with client families, and team members.
• Compassionate nature with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with varying needs.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
• Certification in First Aid/CPR is a plus but not mandatory.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 24 per week
