Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of our property management team. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills and a customer-focused mindset, ensuring that all tenants and prospective residents receive exceptional service. This role involves assisting with property leasing, maintaining tenant relations, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the property, including tenant inquiries and maintenance requests.
- Support the leasing process by conducting property tours, processing applications, and preparing lease agreements.
- Maintain accurate records and files related to tenant information, lease agreements, and property maintenance using Yardi software.
- Ensure compliance with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) regulations and Section 8 guidelines.
- Perform data entry tasks to update tenant files and track leasing activities.
- Foster positive relationships with tenants to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
- Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure timely resolution of tenant issues.
- Assist in the preparation of reports related to occupancy rates, lease renewals, and property performance.
Experience
- Previous experience in property management or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with legal administrative tasks related to property leasing is a plus.
- Proficiency in office software applications and data entry skills are essential.
- Knowledge of customer relationship management practices is beneficial.
- Experience with Yardi or similar property management software is highly desirable.
- Understanding of LIHTC regulations and Section 8 housing programs is advantageous but not required.
