Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our sites with the Montville Housing Authority. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of property management practices. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure tenant satisfaction, property maintenance, and compliance with all relevant regulations.
Duties
- Manage property leasing activities, including upselling available units to prospective tenants.
- Provide outstanding customer service to tenants, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Oversee the maintenance and facilities management of the properties to ensure they are well-kept and compliant with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of tenant leases, payments, and other legal administrative tasks.
- Utilize property management software for tracking leases, payments, and maintenance requests.
- Ensure compliance with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), DOH, or HUD regulations where applicable.
- Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs and coordinate repairs through a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new tenants while retaining current residents.
Requirements
- Proven experience in property management or a related field.
- Strong skills in upselling and property leasing.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on tenant satisfaction.
- Familiarity with legal administrative processes related to property management.
- Proficiency in using property management software such as Yardi or OneSite.
- Knowledge of LIHTC regulations is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience in facilities management is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Pay: $28,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
