Position Mission | Manage the organization, creation and implementation of the plastic process control activities. Support Production, Maintenance, and Engineering in product, process, and continuous improvement activities as well as overseeing all aspects of quality control within the Plastic’s department. Ensure that all products and services consistently meet established standards by lead a team of inspectors, conducting audits, identifying issues, implementing corrective actions, and collaborating with other departments to maintain compliance with industry regulations and company policies. |
Position Main Responsibilities | The position has the following responsibilities:

Education required | High school, GED, but BS degree preferred. Must have experience in a similar role with progressive roles and leadership experience. |
Experiences required |

Technical Knowledge Skills | 1. | Knowledge of processing of plastic injection molds with and without hot runner systems. |
2. | Experience detecting and judging general plastic parts defect types. | |
3. | Experience determining root cause and corrective action for quality defects (equipment, process, mold, etc.) | |
4. | Experience making schedules, training documents, and generating weekly/monthly reports of activities/progress. | |
5. | Understand, support, and follow good quality control plans, procedures, and guidelines. | |
6. | Knowledge of automotive quality standards (QS9000/9001, ISO-TS 16949) | |
7. | Basic understanding of APQP and PPAP. | |
8. | Ability to work and negotiate individually and as part of a team. |
